The "State Key Laboratory for Substitution and Control Treatment of Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases" was established and approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2015. The laboratory is the only state key laboratory that focuses on research related to the control of fluorinated greenhouse gases, and the laboratory is affiliated with Zhejiang Research Institute of Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. Guided by the scientific and technological needs of China in fulfilling national environmental conventions such as the Montreal Protocol and the Framework Convention on Climate Change, the laboratory aims to support national strategies and cater to market and industry demands, and follows the policy of "expanding and strengthening characteristic research and exploring frontier research." The laboratory has successfully developed key technologies for the substitution and control treatment of fluorinated greenhouse gases, playing a leading role in the rapid development of the industry. The laboratory provides solutions for global greenhouse gas emission reduction and technical support for China in fulfilling national conventions and international obligations.
