The Zhejiang Base of National Southern Pesticide R&D Center was established by Zhejiang Institute in 1996, with the support of the national "Ninth Five-Year Plan" key science and technology projects.
After nearly 20 years of construction, the laboratory has gas chromatography-infrared spectroscopy online, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance instrument, gas chromatograph, liquid chromatograph, atomic absorption spectrometer and other equipment. The base is at the leading level in China in terms of molecular design, synthesis and structural characterization of new compounds. A scientific and standardized SOP for pesticide biological activity screening has been established and improved to ensure that indoor bioassay tests of pesticides are carried out all year round. The base has built a 1,960 m2 bioassay laboratory building, purchased advanced bioassay instruments and equipped with well-equipped laboratories and biological test material culture facilities. There is a functional greenhouse with an area of about 900 m2. The base has the functions of tidal irrigation, full-automatic water and fertilizer supplementation, temperature, light and humidity control, reaching the leading level in China. Lianyungang Hetian Chemical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhejiang Institute, as the pilot test base of Zhejiang Base of the National Southern Pesticide R&D Center, has built nearly 20,000 m2 of industrial production units such as pesticide intermediate production workshop, pesticide technical material production workshop, new product pilot test workshop and preparation processing workshop, and has perfect public facilities such as water, electricity, steam and freezing. In recent years, the Zhejiang Institute has screened about 10,000 compounds and applied for more than 50 invention patents in China (28 authorized) and 3 international PCT patents. The herbicide for rape field Pyribambenz-propyl, Benzoic acid, and bactericide 2- [3- (2,5-DiMethyl-phenoxyMethyl)-phenyl]-3-Methoxy-acrylic acid Methyl ester have been officially registered as pesticides in rape fields, successfully realizing the industrial development of creative pesticides with independent intellectual property rights.
